בָּסַס(sec. r. of b. h. בּוּס) to tread, stamp, pile up. Ukts. I, 5 stalks of eatable plants (straw ) שבְּסָסָן בגרן which the owner packed in the barn; Succ.14a מאי בססן what does this bsasan mean? R. … says ב׳ ממש he really stamped them (threshed); R. … says תתיר אגדן he untied them (for the purpose of piling the stalks closer by treading upon them). (Pesik. Haḥod. p. 45a>; Pesik.
